About SENSES Learning Hub
SENSES Learning Hub is an alternative provision for young people, with SEMH needs in key stages 3 & 4, with an emphasis on re-engaging them in their learning through creative, practical and therapeutic projects.
We pride ourselves in providing a relaxed environment which allows young people, who find the mainstream environment challenging, the opportunity to thrive and gain positive outcomes and learn creative skills that they enjoy, in an environment that stimulates creative minds to embrace kinaesthetic and creative learning.
We work alongside mainstream schools, students and families who are on EOTAS packages, students who are home educated and the local authority. Students on sustained placements can access the Arts Award and complete work for Arts based school qualifications. Key stage 4 students can study for and complete GCSE Art and or Photography.
The creative nature of our work helps prepare students to reengage in education and the post 16 challenges of college and the workplace. We understand that the commute to a large school setting can be daunting for some learners, and can lead to them starting their day in a heightened state. Our building provides a small, nurturing environment in a quiet and beautiful location where students will always feel welcome.
